I thought that today seemed as good a day as any to issue the first challenge at the Frybrary!

This month the three words that will hopefully spark a fit of inspiration are:

The second page

You can take it to mean whatever you want and transform it into fan-fiction, fan-art, essay, poetry or random squee-fest. All you have to do is post it in the comm. with this form:

Challenge #1
Title:
Author/artist:
Fan art/Fan fiction/Poem/Review/Essay/Other
<--- Delete as necessary.
Rating:
Summary:
Notes:
(If you want to add any).

The challenge ends on Saturday 25th of February. When that date comes around I'll make a post of all the entries and voting will be open. Myself or snaard will announce three winners on the following Monday. Your prize, at the moment, will be the glory and honour of having your creative work recognised. I'll work on that. Maybe we can have little Stephen medals or something... Ideas anyone? ^_^o

So, if you'd like to take part, you're welcome to get started!

Wow, what a great idea!

Maybe someone can make a special banner or something for the winner like they do in icon challenges?

Yes, I really like the idea too, but I'm pants with making graphics and things. ^_^ Hmmm, I'll have to put the suggestion to m'colleague snaard and see what she says...

I don't suppose you know anyone who might enjoy making banners for us? ^_^o

Oh would you? I don't want to ask if it's a bother, but if you could, well, that would be fantastic!

OOooh well the other mod agrees WHOLEHEARTEDLY, if that's any more persuasive to you.

We would love to have your talents pimped out over here at the Frybrary - welcome aboard our rollicking vessel!

(?? Right, that came out sounding unexpectedly perverse)

Of course, you don't HAVE to do anything...if you'd rather not, then we won't love you any less. Just saying, is all...

Brilliant. So we shall have banners! Oh, our baby is growing so fast... *Sniff.* Hee, I think it should forever now be known as our "rollicking vessel"! It does sound delightfully perverse. ^_^

But do you think we should have a word limit for contest entries? Maybe 2500...? I'm not sure. Oh, and our point system for quotes! What do you think is a good number of points per quote? I thought maybe two points for the first person who comments with the correct book.

If you're choosing to write fan-fic, essays etc. is there a word limit?

2500 words, it is.

Sorry, dunno why I've just lapsed into Yoda speak...
